| Structure and finance of EBM/MASA |
Our common work is organized in the following way:
- at the annual Mission Council we take all major decisions concerning personnel, strategy, finances etc. - here also our partner-unions in Africa and South America have the full right to vote and to decide
- the Executive Committee supervises all the ongoing work and implements the decisions of the Mission Council
- the Mission Office in Elstal near Berlin is the operating base regarding all questions of the cooperation and ongoing development of our mission work - here we also have the careful bookkeeping and accounting of our finances,
- the missionaries in Africa and in South America commit themselves to the practical work in the field, the development of projects, and to the trustworthy cooperation with our partner-unions overseas.
Finance
The budget of our mission is mainly financed by means of designated donations. As much as possible we try to respect the designation give by each donor. However, in accordance with the different designations of the donations entrusted to us, these donations are divided in two categories: those for charitable and those for church-related purposes. Funds entrusted to us are being utilized according to the strict rules prescribed by the Association of Evangelical Missions (AEM), paying attention to the fact that the percentage of expenditures used for administration be kept to the lowest minimum. Our mission is being examined by the strict criteria of a respectable national auditing firm, as well as by those of the Evangelical Alliance.
