  • Who is EBM/MASA?
    Our work in South America

In South America we are working in five countries: in Argentina, in Bolivia, in Brazil, in Cuba and in Peru. In these countries we are supporting our partner unions by giving concrete help to their national co-workers and projects. There is very little support to European co-workers.
The areas of priority of our engagement are:

    Children's homes
The hopeless situation of abandoned and maltreated children in South America caused us to engage in programmes to combat this terrible evil. In our homes in South America, such children are re-integrated into normal family life (Five children homes and oneday-care nursery). Hundreds of children receive a new chance for their lives in the name of Jesus.

    Evangelism and church-growth
The spiritual need in all the countries we are working is enormous. Fear and helplessles are spreading. This is the main reason why we are supporting the proclamation of the Good News of God's love in Jesus Christ and church planting and church-growth programmes. This happens among the indian as well as the non-indian population of our countries.

    Leadership training
It is part of the growing independence of the churches to educate and train indigenous (national) co-workers to work among their own people. With Bible Schools and literacy courses for indians we are able to reach people with the Gospel.

    Catastrophe relief
Natural catastrophies, major illnesses, epidemics and crop failures are causing untold hardships to people in the areas in which we work. Through our partners we are able to provide the fastest possible relief assistance, within the frame of our possibilities.
