  • How does one become a EBM-Missionary?
    General requirements to become a EBM-missionary

    To become a missionary requires a very clear call to mission. It is not enough to have a desire to help the poor and suffering in the less developed nations of the world, however praiseworthy such a desire may be. For us it is very important that our missionaries know themselves to be called to mission.
    When you are interested to become a missionary with our organization, you should meet the following general requirements:
    • spiritual motivation;
    • membership in a Baptist church for at least 2 years;
    • vocational training or university degree (preferably with professional experience);
    • general talent for languages and good knowledge of at least one major foreign language;
    • good state of health (medical certificate on physical and psychological health);
    • capable of working in a team and sociable;
    • ability to take psychological and physical stress;
    • biblical-theological basic training of at least two months;
    • two personal references;
    • minimum age of 24 years;
    • possession of a driver's licence;
    • agreement with the "General Principles of Service" of EBM/MASA
