| General requirements to become a EBM-missionary |
To become a missionary requires a very clear call to mission. It is not enough to have a desire to help the poor and suffering in the less developed nations of the world, however praiseworthy such a desire may be. For us it is very important that our missionaries know themselves to be called to mission.
When you are interested to become a missionary with our organization, you should meet the following general requirements:
- spiritual motivation;
- membership in a Baptist church for at least 2 years;
- vocational training or university degree (preferably with professional experience);
- general talent for languages and good knowledge of at least one major foreign language;
- good state of health (medical certificate on physical and psychological health);
- capable of working in a team and sociable;
- ability to take psychological and physical stress;
- biblical-theological basic training of at least two months;
- two personal references;
- minimum age of 24 years;
- possession of a driver's licence;
- agreement with the "General Principles of Service" of EBM/MASA
