| Become a EBM-missionary |
- As we are a European mission, your application should proceed according to the following stages:
- Application forms (incl. personal data sheets, questionnaires, etc.) can be obtained from the EBM member unions. You are kindly requested to fill them out and send them to the mission secretary/office of your own union. After a thorough examination of the application and the references the member unions send them on to the Mission Office.
- The Mission Office then invites the applicant for an interview.
- After assessment of the application the Mission Office will contact one of our African partner-churches to see if the application matches their personnel request.
- For German applicants, the application should be made directly to the Mission Office at Elstal. After scrutiny of the applications and the references, the Mission Office then recommends the applicant to the German Union.
- The EBM Executive Committee decides on the final acceptance of the applicant as candidate on the basis of the complete application forms. This decision has to be confirmed by the Mission Council at ist annual session.
- Finally, the Mission Office will plan all further necessary steps to be taken before departure to the mission field.
- Please be prepared for the fact that the whole period of application may take 6 to 12 months.
